Lamborghini Gallardo by BF-performance

Posted by admin

Swiss tuners BF Performance have completed work on a new tuning kit for the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.  Called the GT600, their package can be used on either the coupe or the Spyder.

The company says their inspiration was driven by their perception that “the Gallardo is too innocent and neither dynamic nor individual enough.”  To that end, they designed a set of aerodynamics that gives the car an even more aggressive look, while cutting down on weight.

New body parts are made entirely of carbon fiber, and include new side skirts, rear diffuser, and a rear wing.  A set of wing doors is also a part of the package.

BF Performance claims that they have tuned the engine of the Gallardo, though they provide no specifications.  They do say that, between the mods and the 43 kg reduced weight, their GT600 has better acceleration than the LP640-4 SV.  Carbon-ceramic brakes were used to better control speed.

Inside, the company installed five-point belts and sport seats.  Carbon was used on the handles, vents, switch casings, and steering wheel to further reduce weight.  A rollover cage was also fitted to better protect passengers.

The BF Performance GT600 is now available for order.  The company says they can reconfigure the car from a four-wheel drive to a rear-wheel drive, if desired.

IMSA GTV Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Fully Revealed

Posted by admin

IMSA GTV Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560 (1)

Germany-based tuners IMSA GmbH have released their package of upgrades for the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 following an initial preview back in February.  The IMSA GTV kit was created from scratch, and comes with several carbon-fiber body panels.

A height-adjustable sports chassis was also used, with the mods capped by the polished stainless steel exhaust pipes.  The new exhaust led to a 5% power increase to 590PS and up to 560 Nm of torque, nearly a 4% increase.

Included in the modifications are front and rear aprons, front and rear fender flares, side skirts, and a new rear wing.  The company decided to use the same central-locking wheels found on vehicles in the IMSA Challenge.  Lightweight 9Jx20 with 245/30 ZR20 tires, and 12.5Jx20 with 325/25ZR20 dimension tires are found in the front and back.

Carbon fiber bucket seats were also thrown into the package, as well as other composite interior parts.  Leather and Alcantara rounds out the order.

REITER Reveals Lamborghini Murcielago Strada Concept

Posted by admin

REITER Lamborghini Murcielago (1)

REITER Engineering presents the Murciélago Strada concept. The new REITER model, which follows closely in the footsteps of its older sibling, the REITER Murciélago R-GT, will be bringing all the GT racing technology it can muster to this street-prowling variant.

A heavy application of carbon fiber is used on the street-legal Murciélago Strada, on the front splitter, rear diffuser and rear wing. REITER engineers also provide the race suspension and brake-system, as well as the light-alloy wheels. Inside comes an Alcantara leather finish for the cockpit along with REITER-designed sport seats.

Optional is a roll-cage, also tempered by an Alcantara “soft-sleeve” finish, and a carbon-covered fire extinguisher, serving as a reminder of what kind of beast lingers beneath this beautiful facade.

REITER claims just the sound of the sport exhaust system will win over your heart. Of course, there is very little reason to doubt that it won’t.

As a side note, the FIA will be introducing a new GT1 racer at the 24h of Spa, which takes place later today July 25 in Belgium, based on the Lamborghini Murciélago SV (LP670-4), the fastest Lambo around. Dubbed the REITER LP670 R-SV REITER Engineering claims it meets all standards for the FIA GT World Championship for 2010.

Bespoke car customizer Prindiville Prestige has created a new styling package for Lamborghini Murciélago that combines classic Italian styling with tuner aggressiveness.

In order to give the supercar a daring redesign, Prindiville switched out virtually every body panel and replaced them with new carbon fiber components. While the end result is instantly recognizable as a Murciélago, onlookers will certainly notice the new aggressive front bumper, revised rear end, and sporty side skirts. Other changes include a new specially designed titanium sports exhaust system, ‘handle-less’ doors with remote electric opening, and a redesigned engine bay cover that features transparent cooling louvers.

The interior receives a thorough makeover that includes the use of premium leather trim, hand-finished aluminum accents, and unique touches such as specially designed aluminum air vents for a truly bespoke appearance. Potential owners can also choose to outfit their Murciélago with a variety of state of the art entertainment and communications systems.

Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 by Reiter Engineering

Posted by admin

Reiter Engineering has not wasted precious development moments after letting loose a street-legal version of the Lamborghini Murcielago R-GT. This time Reiter moved swiftly to work on a Gallardo GT3 racecar in order to make it back as a street car.

The Gallardo is based heavily on the standard car with its 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V10. But Reiter’s conversion features carbon fibre bodywork that includes fenders widened by 60mm, new front fascia, side skirts and a large carbon fiber rear wing.

The single large exhaust pipe reduces weight and helps add extra horses. Rubber is courtesy of sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 2. Standard seats have also been replaced by leather racing units.

Edo Present the Limited Edition Lamborghini LP 710 Audigier

Posted by admin

edo competition has just released what they claim to be the fastest Lamborghini ever.  The Limited Edition edo Lamborghini LP 710 has a top speed of 224 mph (360 kph).  Only five units of the LP 710 will be produced.

At the base of the LP 710 is a Murciélago LP 640.  After disassembling the supercar, edo tuners make modifications to the body work, engine, exhaust, interior, tires, and wheels to bring the car up to their racing standards.  All mods are completed within three months.

Surprisingly, the company seems more interested in the design of the car than its power.  At the heart of the design is fashion magnet Christian Audigier, who chose the matte black paint for the car.  Inside, Audigier embroidered his own name into the seats, while utilizing a different set of fabrics and materials for the seats, door paneling, and center console.  World-reknowned artist Marcus Pfeil worked with Audigier to create an airbrush design for the car.

Horsepower, torque, and curb weight is unknown at this time.

Each of the five Limited Edition edo Lamborghini LP 710 production units will be custom made, giving the customer a chance to veto some of the designs and make a more personal choice.  If you purchase one, you also get the opportunity to run laps in your new supercar at the oval track in either Papenburg, Germany, or Nardo, Italy.  edo will even lend out race driver Patrick Simon to teach you a few tricks for your new car.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 by Japan’s LB Performance

Posted by admin

Where have LB Performance been all this time? The Japanese tuner says it’s been in business doing its thing since 1993, but this is the first time we’ve come across them. Guess the web is one big ocean of information. The work they do to the Lamborghini Murcielago is seriously envy-worth, appearing to be of exceptional standard and positive aggression.

All the cars featured seem to be extremely low in suspension, yet nothing is said about suspension kits. Nothing is said about engine mods either, but Reventon is clearly an inspiration to some front bumpers. New body kits, spoilers, wheels and exhaust mufflers make LB Performance cars worthy of a second or fifth look. Read the rest of this entry and check out more photos »

IMSA Lamborghini Murcielago Spyder

Posted by admin

Earlier this year, we saw German based tuning specialist, IMSA, squeeze a few extra ponies out of the Gallardo LP560-4, and now they have added 68 hp to the Murcielago Spyder for a total of 708hp. IMSA doesn’t tell us exactly how they achieved these results, but the performance gain fractionally drops 0 to 100 km/h time from 3.4 to 3.3 seconds while top speed increases 10 km/h to 350 km/h.

IMSA has given the open top supercar an enhanced look with their GTR Widebody Kit consisting of a front apron, front lip, broadened wings, side skirts, carbon diffuser, rear spoiler, attachments improving the cooling air supply, ventilation louvres, IMSA Ultimo Wheels with genuine central locking system, and, lastly, the sports exhaust system available in various tailpipe configurations. But, the most fun feature is the sports exhaust system’s flap control which is operated by a remote control from the passenger compartment. The sound range is adjusted from decent “city limit” to “racetrack” ear plug levels.

Edo Lamborghini Murcielago LP710-2

Posted by admin

Last we heard from Edo Competition’s Lamborghini LP 640, it had just received a 23hp boost to 663hp and clocked a record breaking 345.7 km/h (214.8 mph) run, making it the fastest top speed ever recorded by a Lamborghini at the high-speed test track in Nardo, Italy.

Never content, the quest for more power has brought the Edo team back to the LP 640 with successful results. This time, through new exhaust headers, new high flow catalytic converters, new mufflers, a new exhaust tip, new performance camshafts, modified cylinder heads and new high flow air filters plus reprogrammed engine controls, the company from Ahlen, Germany has added another 47hp for a whopping total of 710hp and 700 Nm (516 ft-lb) . The result is 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds; 0 – 200 km/h (124 mph) in under 10 seconds.

With an aerodynamically optimized rear wing with an adjustable lip, the Edo team should have no problem breaking their last record as they calculate the vehicle is capable of a top speed greater than 360 km/h (224 mph) .
