Hamann Conqueror II Based on Range Rover Sport

Posted by admin

Hamann has decked out a new kit plus performance hikes for the Range Rover Sport. Called the Hamann CONQUEROR II, the new car features a new front bumper with four integrated LED daytime running lights, a light carbon fibre bonnet and four wide extensions constructed from light materials as a start.

More kit includes a roof spoiler, a rear apron and a wide variety of wheel types and sizes. Hamann recommends a wheel/tyre combination for the front- and back of 11×23 inch wheels with tyres measuring 315/25 R23. A sports exhaust system with a stainless steel muffler was included.

The two engines have some extra boost. The 5.0-litre supercharged V8 was bumped up from 375kW (510hp) to 412kW (560hp) at 6,500rpm. Maximum torque was also increased to 685Nm (505 lb-ft) between 2,000rpm and 5,500rpm. The smaller 3.6 TDV6 motor was upped to 206kW (280hp) and 660Nm (487 lb-ft).

The interior comes with accessories like black-anodised aluminium with carbon applications and sports foot pedals.

Hamann BMW 5 Series GT Images Released

Posted by admin

Hamann BMW 5 Series GT (1)

Hamann has released these pictures of a tuned BMW 5 Series GT. The GT is another model in the 5 Series range and has been officially shown in details and in pictures. It has seating space for four people inside a wheelbase equivalent in length to the 7 Series. All that is left is for it to come out at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

No further information has been let out by the Hamann troupe so all we have at the moment are these images. The standard GT comes with three engines; a new 3.0-litre single turbo petrol that makes 225kW (306hp) and 400Nm, a 4.4-litre twin turbo petrol with 300kW (408hp) and a 3.0-litre turbo diesel that makes 180kW (245hp) plus 540Nm of torque.

Current Hamann-tuned 5 Series sedans produce up to 20kW (27hp) and 45Nm more. These apply especially to the 550i which still has the old naturally aspirated 4.8-litre V8. It figures then that the Hamann 550i GT will at least go up to 320kW (435hp), but we reckon it’s fair to expect even more.

Look out for a modified front end and rear bumper, signature black wheels, different tailpipes, powerful brakes and a host of branded interior accessories.

Hamann Typhoon based on Mercedes G55 AMG Revealed (7)

Cover your eyes and hide the children, Hamann has unveiled their new Mercedes G55 AMG-based Typhoon.

Set to compete with the 700 hp Brabus G V12 S Biturbo, the Hamann Typhoon features 600 hp (441 kW) and 782 Nm (576 lb-ft) of torque thanks to a high performance HM600 power kit that includes new engine electronics, a beefier belt pulley set, and a revised transmission with its own oil cooler. The net result of all these changes is a 0-100 km/h time of 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 261 km/h (162 mph).

Hamann’s engineers have also tweaked the legendary Geländewagen’s styling by adding carbon fiber mirrors, door handles, fender vents, and a massive front grille. Other exterior design changes include a front spoiler with LED-daytime running lights, a revised rear bumper with an integrated diffuser, a six tailpipe exhaust system, 24-inch wheels, and a roof-mounted spoiler.

The unique sporting theme continues in the cabin as the Typhoon features a Hamann steering wheel, aluminum pedals, a 24-piece carbon fiber trim set, illuminated stainless steel door sill plates, and exclusive velour upholstery.

Hamann Rolls Royce Phantom Images Surface

Posted by admin

hamann-rolls-royce-phantom-images-surface-3

Hamann does not discriminate. That is to say, the German tuner will work on any brand deemed suitable to its vision. Recent various tuning packages include the BMW X6 and 7-Series, McLaren SLR, Aston Martin V8 Vantage and most recently one for the Bentley GT Speed.

Rolls Royce is not immune to these visions of Hamann and that is why the two cars seen here came into existence. Both the Phantom and the two-door Drophead got special Hamman treatment. Not much detail was tossed our way but we can disclose that the wheels have gone from the standard 21-inch cast aluminium to 23-inches.

Maximum power has also been increased from a mere 460hp (338kW) to 535hp (394kW). Peak torque received a boost too, from 720Nm to 835Nm. The top speed then improves to 300km/h.

A highlighted interior element is the Hamann sports steering wheel which was made specifically for the Phantom.

Hamann 2009 BMW 7 Series Details Released

Posted by admin

hamann-2009-bmw-7-1

As a follow up from the initial photos, HAMANN has just released details regarding the work they have done on the new BMW 7 Series (F01 and F02). The exterior has been beefed up by installing a new front skirt with integrated LED daytime running lights, a roof spoiler and a rear spoiler. Four tailpipes poke out from the rear bumper. Side skirts are part of the aerodynamic package and they also enhance the look.

Buyers can select from a range of wheels, from 19-inch to 22-inch in diameter. The top deep dish alloy rims are sized at 9.0Jx22 inches up front and 10.5Jx22 inches at the rear. They come in a glossy black paint with a diamond-grinded rim star. Respectively the matching tyres are 265/30ZR22 and 295/25ZR22.

The 730d has received a performance upgrade from the stock 180kW (245hp). According to HAMANN this is only the first stage in the engine’s development. Power has been increased to 213kW (290hp).

The 730d and 740i receive four progressively coiled chassis springs each. These lower the cars’ centre of gravity by up to 40 millimetres. The 750i and 750Li have a different lowering kit which is made of two chassis springs and a leveling kit.

HAMANN accessories are a given for this car. Some include aluminium foot pedals and foot rests with matching embroidered floor mats.

HAMANN Imperator Widebody based on Bentley Continental GT Speed First Images Released

Posted by admin

hamann-imperator-based-on-bentley-continental-gt-speed

Brace yourselves: it’s another body kit for the Bentley Continental GT.

This one’s from Hamann, and it’s called the Imperator. As a follow-up to the performance upgrades designed for the Bentley Continental GT and GT Speed, the tuner’s comprehensive appearance upgrade is now available. The sixteen-piece body kit includes a revised front bumper with the latest in LED daytime running light fashion, side skirts and fender flares with vents, and a new rear bumper, diffuser and spoiler. A choice of Hamann-designed wheels is available; 21 x 10.5 inch, or a set of even larger 22-inchers that are 10.5 inches wide at the front and 11 at the rear.

The visual upgrades are a nice complement to the power boost, which raises the power output of the 6.0 liter W12 to 630HP thanks to an ECU upgrade and a new exhaust with high-flow catalytic converters, an x-pipe and new mufflers. Torque is up to 553 lb-ft. The Continental GT Speed benefits as well, jumping to 650 horses and 612 lb-ft. A revised control unit for the Bentley’s air suspension is part of the package as well, allowing the Imperator to be lowered 30mm up front and 20mm at the rear for a more race-ready look.

The interior is offered with clear-coated carbon fiber trim, of course, as well as aluminum pedals and a sport steering wheel.

Hamann BMW 7 Series: First Images Released

Posted by admin

hamann-bmw-7-series_1

Hamann announced that they now have a body kit to go with their tuning programme for the 2009 BMW 7 Series. Details are being kept under wraps for the moment except to say those tyres are running on 22-inch rims. Visually, components like a rear boot spoiler, a rear roof spoiler, four tailpipes and new side skirts can be spotted. The interior shows sporty pedals, and black leather seats and carpets stitched with the Hamann logo.

The previous-generation Hamann 7 (HM 7.1) was announced in 2005 and was based on the 760i/L. Hamman increased the factory V12 engine capacity from 6.0-litres to 7.1-litres and managed to release 510hp (375kW) and 728Nm of torque. The 0 – 100km/h time improved to 5 seconds while top speed went up to 312km/h (194mph).

Other models in the 7 Series range that were tuned are the 745i and the 745iL. These received a 5.2-litre V8 with increased power to 412hp (303kW).

Hamann is busy developing the next programme for the new 7 Series and we suspect the base car will be powered by the current 4.4-litre twin turbo V8 from the 750i/Li. After the release of the new 760i/Li we should see Hamann stepping up to it as well.

Hamann Release First Images of Bentley Continental GT

Posted by admin

Hamann, the developer / tuner, is foraging in territories previously unknown to it. Famous for enhancing performance machines from the likes of BMW, Porsche and Lamborghini, Hamann has on the odd occasion, branched off into Mercedes McLaren and Aston Martin.

Soon Bentley will join this list of Hamann-tuned cars with a Continental GT Speed. The GT Speed isn’t exactly short on spark, having been bombarded with a 600hp / 447kW Volkswagen Group W12 engine at factory level in Crew, England. No doubt Hamann has the know-how; the McLaren SLR they tuned went from similar levels of go as the GT Speed to 700hp, so that number is the least that can be expected.

Billed as the fastest Bentley ever to be built for public usage, the GT Speed already weighs as little as any car of its nature can, so it is clear that Hamann will had their work cut out increasing power, adding much sportier body kit and reducing weight at the same time.
