Senner Audi S5 White Beast

Posted by admin

German tuner Senner Tuning AG has taken the Audi S5 V8 FSI and given it a new body kit and slightly more power. Aerodynamic improvements came through a large air inlet on the new front spoiler, new front grille, a rear spoiler lip and a rear carbon-look apron. Four steel exhaust tailpipes make it even meatier.

The 4.2 V8 White Beast gets a modest power bump from the standard 260 kW (349 bhp / 354 PS) up to 282 kW (378 bhp / 384 PS) and 475 Nm through things like a performance air filter and exhaust system. Top speed is now 285 km/h.

The suspension is lowered by 40mm at the front and 35mm at the rear. It squats on 9×21″ and 10,5×21″ front and rear polished light alloy diamond black wheels. Wrapping those up are 255/30 R21 and 295/25 R21 Hankook S1 Evo tyres.

The interior has strong carbon fibre finishes to emphasise the car’s performance abilities. Senner charges €18,990 (US$25,338) for the package, including technical inspection costs.

ENCO Exclusive Audi Q5

Posted by admin

German tuners Enco Exclusive have developed a new set of modifications for the Audi Q5.  Although parts can be purchased separately, the full kit retails for €11,568.

The package put together for the five-door is meant to reflect a similar look as the Enco Q7, though there are distinct differences between the two bumpers.  LED daytime running lights have been built in alongside enlarged air inlets, and a new hood lays above it all.  New sidesills lead to a remodeled rear that now includes a rear spoiler and dual oval exhaust pipes seen on the Q7.

Carbon fiber has been used throughout the interior.  Also thrown into the mix are 10×22-inch monoblock wheels wrapped in Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires.  Wheels come standard in silver and can be painted if desired.

You can read about the individual price of the parts in the press release below.  The Enco Exclusive Audi Q5 is now available for order from the tuner.

2010 Audi A8 by Hofele Design

Posted by admin

German tuners Hofele have released details about their new package of mods for the Audi A8 (D4).  The kits release coincides with Audi’s reveal of the new version of their flagship four-door.

A press release claims that the car realizes faster acceleration times of 5.2- and 5.3-seconds to 100 km/h depending on petrol or diesel engine.  The petrol 4.2-liter FSI V8 has been improved to 400 PS (294 kW / 395 bhp) and up to 475 Nm (350 lb-ft) of torque, while the TDI is boosted to 395 hp (290 kW / 390 bhp) and up to 880 Nm (649 lb-ft).  Fuel consumption remains at 9.5- (29.7 mpg imp) and 7.6-liters (37.1 mpg imp) of fuel per 100 kilometers, for the petrol and diesel, respectively.

Extra power brings the need for extra brake power, which is provided by larger, ventilated steel disc brakes that can be swapped for ceramic discs.  Six-piston brakes were also added.  The car’s suspension is lowered by between 40 and 80 millimeters, though it returns back to its original factory setting when traveling at 80 mph (129 km/h) and over.  New alloy wheels measure 9.5×20″ front and 10×22″ in back, which look like a tight squeeze thanks to the lower wheel wells.

Other mods include a new front end with larger air inlets and front fender outlets, redesigned side sills, and a remodeled rear bumper with diffuser and quad exhaust.  A decklid spoiler has also been added.  Inside, quilted two-tone leather, Alcantara, and a new steering wheel can all be found.

Pricing for the Hofele Audi A8 kit was not released.

Abt Q7 3.0 TDI Facelift Clean Diesel Tuning Program Announced – New Styling and Power

Posted by admin

German tuners Abt Sportsline have created a tuning package for the facelifted Audi Q7 3.0 TDI Clean Diesel, the first diesel SUV to comply with the Euro 6 emission standard.  Abt engineers developed a package of performance and aerodynamic modifications that increases power without increasing emissions.

Front-and-center is the 16% increase in raw power, bringing the engine up to 278 hp, from 240 hp.  Torque was boosted by 5% to 580 Nm, from 550 Nm.  Still, the tuning outfit claims that, “The Clean Diesel still remains as economic as before its power upgrade in Bavaria.”

Aerodynamic upgrades include exhaust covers, rear skirt, side skirts, and wing extensions.  20- or 22-inch diamond-cut wheels are available in silver or matte black.  The company has several other options on offer, including a quad-pipe exhaust, 30mm lowered suspension, and sport brakes.

The set of upgrades is already up on Abt Sportsline’s website.  Pricing was not detailed.

PPI Razor GTR with Visible Carbon Fiber Widebody Package Shown in Dubai

Posted by admin

ppi-razor-gtr-with-visible-carbon-fiber-widebody-package (4)

Stuttgart, Germany-based tuners PPI Automotive Design brought their PPI Razor GTR to the Dubai Motor Show.  The high-powered, lightweight car was put on display wearing the Visible Carbon Fiber Widebody package.

The package includes several glazing layers of clearcoat over the bare carbon fiber to give the car a more glossy look.  Each new body panel, including bumpers, fenders, lids, sideblades, and sideskirts, on PPI’s redux of the Audi R8 is made from the featherweight material.  The only exception is the Polycarbonate covering over the engine.  This let PPI engineers strip 250 kilograms (551 lbs) from the car.

Unique to the Visible Carbon Fiber package is the use of carbon fiber on the doors and roof.  PPI will also tune the V8 up to 580 horsepower, thanks to the installation of a supercharger that adds 200hp.  On the V10, customers can opt for a 60- or 80-horsepower boost, with additional “power increases available upon request.”

With either the 580hp V8 or the 600hp V10, PPI claims a 0-100 km/h time of 3.7 seconds en route to a 323 km/h top speed.

MR Car Design – Audi S3 Black Performance Edition

Posted by admin

9537963

Probably disappointed that a rumoured RS 3 did not come alive in Frankfurt, MR Car Design went out to fix the problem. Using the 2.0 TFSI engine as a base they added equipment like a big intercooler, new engine control software and a sports exhaust system with optimised counter pressure.

Mr Car Design has induced 248kW (337hp) and 450Nm, significantly up from the standard 195kW (265hp) and 350Nm respectively. Incidentally the factory TT RS produces similar numbers, therefore you could rationalize this as the unofficial aftermarket RS 3.

Tyres used are 235/35 ZR19 Dunlop Sportmaxx wrapped around 8×19″ hyper-black alloys. The chassis is improved through the use of V3 coilovers with pressure and tension phase adjustment.

Abt AS5 Tuning for Audi A5 Sportback

Posted by admin

abt-as5-tuning-for-audi-a5-sportback (2)

Christian Abt and his team will not sit idle for as long as Audi continues churning out new models every year. Following the launch of the A5 Coupe and Cabriolet the Ingolstadt firm announced the five-door Sportback version, much to ABT Sportline’s delight.

The engineers and designers went to work and came up with a new ABT front grille, skirt, rear wing insets and a rear skirt set. A four-pipe rear muffler helps emit what should be quite a heartening sound. The ABT wheels are diamond-cut, high-gloss polished or painted and measure in 18, 19 or 20-inch sizes. To add fun on the road an ABT suspension with branded springs and sport coilovers was fitted.

Due to ABT’s strong performance heritage the engines were also modified to go with their newly styled bodies. Bottom of the heap is the 2.0 TFSI which goes from a standard 132kW (180hp) to 202kW (275hp) and 320Nm of torque. The 3.0 TDI comes in two stages of tuning, one called ABT Power and the other ABT Power S. The former gives it 207kW (282hp) and 560Nm while the latter is good for 228kW (310hp) and a healthy 610Nm. Road performance figures were not released.

Posted by admin

audi-q7-v12-styling-conversion-by-senner-tuning (3)

Senner Tuning has unveiled a new styling and performance package for the Audi Q7 4.2 FSI.

To give the sport-ute an aggressive appearance, Senner installs the body kit (bumpers, wheel arch extensions, side sills, and grille) from the Q7 V12 TDI, the LED daytime running lights from the S6, a revised suspension module, which reduces the ride height by 40mm, and 22-inch “RS Silver” wheels outfitted with Goodyear high-performance tires.

Under the hood, Senner adds a new ECU module which allows the V8 engine to produce 374 hp and 470 Nm of toque (an increase of 24 hp and 30 Nm). While no performance data was released, the Senner Q7 should be able to run from 0-60 mph in less than seven seconds.

MTM Boost Audi TT-RS to 424bhp

Posted by admin

MTM Boost Audi TT-RS (7)

German tuner MTM has launched a performance package for the new Audi TT RS. Under normal circumstances the car produces 340hp (250kW) of power and peak torque of 450Nm (332 lb ft) between 1,600rpm and 5,300rpm. The factory claims a 0 – 100 km/h time of 4.6 seconds.

MTM used the stock 2.5-litre 5-cylinder turbo as a basis. The engine control unit was adjusted and a new exhaust system with new middle- and end- pipes with throttle valves fitted. Not only does it apparently sound great, but it also revs higher and accesses its torque across a wide range of revolutions.

As a result, three stages of power can be ordered. Stage 1 offers 301kW (404bhp) and 550Nm while stage 2 gives out 304 (408bhp) and the same amount of torque. The highest stage offers maximum power of 316kW (424bhp) and 560Nm, does 0 – 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds and achieves a top end of 297 km/h. The car runs on MTM sport wheels with the original BIMOTO design measuring 19-inch or 20-inch.
