9FF’s 1300hp Porsche 911 Based Draxster

Posted by admin

A drag-racing Porsche 911? Why? Well, why not? Although Porsche’s iconic sports car hasn’t traditionally been a drag-strip competitor, the car’s rear-engine, rear-drive layout is actually ideal for drag racing. Porsche specialist 9ff has just unveiled the DraXster, a boosted, 911-based supercar whose focus seems to be quarter-mile domination. It’s a high-horsepower, high-torque lightweight 911 whose lack of aerodynamic aids suggests that it’s not intended for sustained high speeds but rather maximum acceleration.

The DraXster’s 4.0 twin-turbo flat six puts out an estimated 1300 hp (970 kW) and 877 ft-lb (1190 Nm) torque. The car has also been lightened to 1168kg, and 9ff reports a 9.5-second run to 161mph (260 km/h). Yes, the DraXster is faster than a Bugatti Veyron. Thanks to the lack of adornments, the DraXster is low-key, with very few exterior details to distinguish it from any other 911.

Pricing, quarter-mile times and top speed for the DraXster have not been released.

Edo Present the Limited Edition Lamborghini LP 710 Audigier

Posted by admin

edo competition has just released what they claim to be the fastest Lamborghini ever.  The Limited Edition edo Lamborghini LP 710 has a top speed of 224 mph (360 kph).  Only five units of the LP 710 will be produced.

At the base of the LP 710 is a Murciélago LP 640.  After disassembling the supercar, edo tuners make modifications to the body work, engine, exhaust, interior, tires, and wheels to bring the car up to their racing standards.  All mods are completed within three months.

Surprisingly, the company seems more interested in the design of the car than its power.  At the heart of the design is fashion magnet Christian Audigier, who chose the matte black paint for the car.  Inside, Audigier embroidered his own name into the seats, while utilizing a different set of fabrics and materials for the seats, door paneling, and center console.  World-reknowned artist Marcus Pfeil worked with Audigier to create an airbrush design for the car.

Horsepower, torque, and curb weight is unknown at this time.

Each of the five Limited Edition edo Lamborghini LP 710 production units will be custom made, giving the customer a chance to veto some of the designs and make a more personal choice.  If you purchase one, you also get the opportunity to run laps in your new supercar at the oval track in either Papenburg, Germany, or Nardo, Italy.  edo will even lend out race driver Patrick Simon to teach you a few tricks for your new car.

G-Power M5 Hurricane RS Goes 228,4 mph – Breaks Sedan Land Speed World Record

Posted by admin

G-POWER is pushing relentlessly towards becoming a serious contender as a force of nature comparable to the sun. After recording a speed of 365.7 km/h (228.4 mph), the 750hp / 559kW G-POWER M5 HURRICANE RS is officially the “fastest sedan in the world, taking the record from the bi-turbo V12 BRABUS Rocket. That car is based on the Mercedes-Benz CLS and does 362.4km/h.

G-POWER modified the M5 HURRICANE RS through enlarged capacity twin superchargers supplied by ASA. Boost level went from 0.7 bar to 0.8 bar. What’s scarier is that G-POWER says they can raise this up to 1.0 bar for even more performance. “We can still improve,” says CEO and engineer Christian Stöber, “if we see the need for it.”

Innotech Presents Tuning Package for C6 Corvette

Posted by admin

A new company out of the Czech Republic called INNOTECH has released a their new Corvette tuning package, and claims performance of up to 1,000 horsepower!  Updates to the classic sports car include exterior body work, interior design, and performance upgrades.

Available through the company are modified Corvette C6 coupes and convertibles with engines reconfigured to crank out between 500 and 560 hp on a standard engine, and 600 hp with the supercharger.

But if you have the twin turbocharged Corvette LS3 6.2 litre engine engine, your C6 can rocket around a course with a blistering 1000 hp.

Numbers like that harken to the Bugatti Veyron supercar.  And at 1400 kg, the INNOTECH Vette is lighter than the Veyron by over a half-ton.

Keeping the Corvette transmission choices – six-speed manual, or automatic – the C6 gets a choice of either 14″ BAER brakes or 15″ Brembos.  With that much power, we recommend the biggest brakes possible.  Rotors are drilled, slotted, and ventilated.  Brake systems mate to forged aluminum 9×19″ front- and 12×20″ rear-wheels from brands like HRE and Forgeline.  Dymag carbon-magnesium wheels are also available.  The exhaust system is compltely overhauled to improve performance, and give the car a more unique appearance.

Around the car, INNOTECH is trying to make the car look a bit more Italian than American.  New front and rear fascias make the Vette almost unrecognizeable, while maintaining a very cool look.  New side rear window louvres and louvred hood is also available.  They also have a wide body kit that, like the other body parts, is custom made from fiberglass or carbon fibre.  Inside the car, upgrades include Italian or English leather, and carbon fibre seats covered in a matching leather.

Sadly, performance details have not been released, but the company did say that more performance and luxury options will become available later next year.  The conpany is also working on customizations for the Z06 and ZR1 Corvettes.

INNOTECH Corvettes will be assembled in the US, despite the company’s Czech Republic home base.  Parts and complete cars can be delivered worldwide.  The new INNOTECH Corvette C6 will be available beginning in January.

Bugatti Veyron Vincero by Mansory

Posted by admin

Just in case you have a few million dollars you haven’t spent on a Christmas present for yourself yet, we thought we’d let you know that this Bugatti Veyron, modified by Mansory, is sitting on the showroom floor at Prestige Cars in the United Arab Emirates. There’s plenty of online disagreement as to whether this car is a Sang Noir that’s been further modified by Mansory, or a Veyron that’s been redone to resemble another tuned Bugatti. The only common thread we’ve heard is that Mansory was involved in the conversion, and that it goes by the name Vincero Limited.

The Mansory Vincero bears some similarities to the Sang Noir special-edition Veyron, and we’re not sure how many Vinceros are out there. There are reports of as many as three. Any Veyron is an uncommon machine, of course, but the Mansory Vincero is among the rarest of the rare.

Blackout trim and smoked chrome dominate the high-gloss finish. The front fenders and door panels are chromed, and the hood and engine cover are carbon-fiber. The carbon-fiber elements spark the comparison to the Sang Noir editions. The interior gets black and white upholstery, a common Mansory theme, and features woven seatbacks and cushions in addition to the leather, carbon fiber and suede.

Project Kahn and Lorinser unite in tuning partnership

Posted by admin

What do you get when a German tuner hooks up with a British designer? Sounds risky, doesn’t it?

What you get first is a Kahn set of wheels. Specifically, Kahn RSL 9 X 21 matte black in the front and 10.5 X 21 at the rear. Project Kahn also provides some interior design on this Mercedes S Class, with a full bespoke leather package and other unspecified cabin detailing.

Lorinser provides the rest of the restyling through added body paneling, which from the photos we can see are side air vents and subtle new skirting all around that give the design a softer, more grounded look.

“This project is without a doubt the perfect blend of British and German styling and it will certainly ensure a great deal of customer satisfaction,” says Marcus Lorinser, head of German tuner Lorinser, who has partnered with Project Kahn on this Mercedes S Class.

Well, you can view the results right here and judge for yourself.

Nismo S-tune 370Z more photos and details

Posted by admin

Here’s more pics and details on the Nismo S-Tune 370Z, or as it is known in Japan, the Fairlady Z or Z34.

We’ve already seen the two different tuning packages on offer here. The S-Tune Aero package for a more aerodynamic flow to the vehicle that includes a newly designed front and rear bumper spoilers, side skirts and a trunk wing. And the S-Tune Performance line which comes with new brake pads, S-Tune suspension, a stainless-steel exhaust set and Nismo 19″ wheels.

What we didn’t know, at least, for sure, was that you can combine these packages and get both deals together. Sounds great. Now can we have some engine tuning?

The Nissan 370Z comes with a new 3.7-liter V6 engine with 332 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque (365 Nm). It sports a 4-inch (10 cm) shortening in wheelbase from the previous 350Z, making this a tighter, more road-hugging sequel.

And we owe our gratitude for all this to the folks over at Nihon Car who’s office is luckily situation just a few meters away from the Nismo Omori Factory.
