Wald International Introduces BMW M5 Sports Line Body Kit

Posted by admin

If you think that current BMW M5 is not sporty enough, then you may consider installing the new body kit from Japanese elite tuning company Wald International. In contrast with aggressive-looking body kits of European origin, Wald’s package makes the M5 look more elegant and, well, somewhat ready, if you know what I mean.

The kit, Wald International says in its press release, includes new front apron with integrated carbon fiber parts, side skirts, restyled rear bumper fascia with integrated carbon fiber air diffuser and carbon fiber deck lid spoiler. The car sits on Wald’s Portofino forged black-painted wheels.

The Japanese company still says nothing about the kit’s price and availability in Europe and North America.

Lumma CLR X650 tuning kit for the BMW X6 SAC

Posted by admin

Tuning companies are catching on to the all powerful teaser image, and German tuner, Lumma Design, have issued theirs - with the controversial BMW X6 model. Love it or hate it, the BMW X6 Coupe Crossover is an interesting car and Lumma’s CLR X650 is no different – yet in a different character.

With a beefy front bumper fascia, which contains no less than 6 air vent openings, the entire kit gets a dash of aggression with side skirts and quarter panel leg vents plus revised mirrors, however, the added attitude comes from the 40mm suspension drop with the 23-inch arch filling black dished wheels.

As one of the first tuning companies to put together a dramatic styling kit for the X6, the CLR X650 takes the whole X6 hatchback coupe vibe and molds it

Impreza STi by Harman Motive

Posted by admin

Subaru Impreza WRX STi is tuned by Harman Motive, performance tuning shop located in Torrance(CA).

First modification was replacing original grill with JDM STi grill and adding JDM lip. Then they got Cobb CAN Accessport, a device that allows you reprogram your car’s stock ECU. Along with that device they also got Beta Protuning software from Cobb tuning. The result was increased power from 233WHP to 240WHP. Next step was brake upgrade. Performance Friction 2-piece rotors were installed with Ferodo brake pads and Harman Motive 08 STI SS brake lines. At the end they installed Harman Motive catted downpipe and catback exhaust.

This are the latest STi pictures where they put 18″ Volk RE30 wheels with Yokohama Advan Neova 255/40/18 tires. The car stands on KW Clubsport Coilovers. As you can see it has also red taillights which are much better then original.

What’s the next step? Full GT3071R Harman Motive rotated turbokit. Sweet.

BMW X6 Styling and Performance Package by AC Schnitzer

Posted by admin

Following the teaser illustration of the neon green CLR X650 from Lumma and off-the-shelf bolt-on mods from Hamann and Hartge, AC Schnitzer gets top marks in our our book for being the first tuner to present a real life styling package, although limited, for the new BMW X6.

Although some critics have stooped so low as to compare the X6 to the atrocious Pontiac Aztec, the controversial X6 is a sales success and surely, the owners of these eccentric vehicles will certainly want to tune them.

Enter AC Schnitzer’s aero kit, which consists of a front bumper fascia with diagonal air intakes plus repositioned fog lights, and a massive rear bumper fascia with diffuser center skirt plus integrated exhaust pipe openings. In contrast to the original, all components are painted body-colour throughout, to give a ‘closer to the ground’ appearance. The striking wheels are AC Schnitzer’s new 22-inch Type VII multi-piece alloy wheels painted black. Missing from the overall kit are side skirts and miscellaneous fender flaring components and typical roof wings. However, we’re not complaining. Overall, we think this package is just right.

Under the hood AC Schnitzer has prepared a new Motor Control Unit for the 3.0dX and 3.5dX diesel versions. Unfortunately, no performance data is available yet. However, AC Schnitzer admits that it has developed a unique suspension spring kit for the X6 on the North Loop of the Nürburgring and promises: Despite its high body, the X6 by AC Schnitzer in this configuration will show a clean pair of heels to many sports saloons.

Mercedes SLR Mclaren 740hp by Renntech

Posted by admin

When we first heard of the Mercedes SLR Mclaren 722, we all licked our lips at the prospect of a 722 horsepower engine, but when the final figure of 650hp was released it left a sour taste in our mouth. Renntech soon put that sweet taste back with their own tuning package which boosted the supercar’s power up to where it should be at 722 horses, and now by popular demand the tuning house has pumped yet more ponies out of the 5.4-liter supercharged engine bringing total power up to 740hp

For the upgraded tuning package Renntech have re-worked the ECU software and added a less restrictive motorsports-style exhaust system to get the extra ponies to the new Renntech Signature 10-spoke, 3 piece performance wheels.

For an extra bit of added spice the tuner has also provided a nice little video in which you can hear the engine.

Ferrari F430 Scuderia by Novitech

Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black Series by Renntech

Posted by admin

The Mercedes CLK63 AMG Black series is based on the official F1 safety car and incorporates the pinnacle of Mercedes’ performance technology therefore any tuner wishing to enhance this package has a challenge on their hands, a challenge Renntech was more than willing to take with the release of their latest tuning program.

The monstrous 6.2-liter AMG engine already pumped out 507hp and 630Nm of torque but the Mercedes tuner has managed to pump this up up to 550hp with an additional 60-80Nm of torque. Achieved with a bit of ECU tuning and the addition of long-tube headers and a motorsports style exhaust sharpening throttle response.

“Real-world performance is all about torque, not so much about a peak horsepower number at very high rpm,” explains Hartmut Feyhl, company founder. “It can be very easy to build high rpm horsepower, but to get instant throttle response and mid-range acceleration it is more difficult, and this is where customers really want to feel that improvement.”
