Kicherer Enters the Audi RS6 Arena with the RSStreet

This week is officially Audi RS6 tuner week, we have already been treated to the efforts by Abt and B&B on top of the MTM version from last month, now Kicherer enters the arena with their own version which carries the label Audi RSStreet.

The hub of this latest performance upgrades centers around the 580 bhp 5.0-liter FSI twin turbo V10 engine laying in the engine bay. Kicherer modify several individual components on the power unit although they fail to state exactly what these are, nonetheless it still results in a power increase that takes overall output to 700hp and 780Nm of torque. Other performance upgrades are available including a 4-flow stainless steel exhaust system and a set of sports springs which lowers the model by 25mm.

All put together, the RSStreet can accelerate from standstill to 100km/h in a little under 4.3 seconds and it reaches 200km/h in 13 seconds flat, top speed lies rises to 280km/h. These times are a little slower than previous tuning packages seen, however it would be hard to compare these models other than side by side on a racetrack.

Kicherer also gives the RS6′ exterior are quick going over with a set a 22inch rims and a two tone color scheme along with mirror shells, front spoiler and rear diffuser all made from genuine carbon.

BMW 6-Series by Hamann

When the E63 BMW 6-Series debuted back in 2003, Hamann brought to market a tuning package a year and a half later. For the facelifted BMW 6-Series which debuted a year ago, it seems Hamann might be speeding up their process, with an all-new styling package which subtly differentiates itself from the original styling kit of 2004. Showing an evolution of design, the aerodynamic package consists of a front and rear bumper fascia, side skirts and rear roof and bott lid spoilers.

Wald Continental GT Black Bisson Edition

Japan’s premiere tuner of European and Japanese premium marques, Wald International, is no stranger to the Continental GT. Back in October 2007 they sent us some tasty images of their styling package for the W12 coupe, and now, have worked their photoshop magic to create a slightly more daring kit.

Under Wald’s aggressive Black Bisson Edition, the Conti GT receives a restyled body kit which is hard edged with louvered styling elements. As a quick preview by Wald, no firm information has been released yet, but they provided a series of images which include Wald’s 21-inch Portofino, Aufzhalen and Mahora wheel ranges.

BMW ALPINA D3 Bi-Turbo Coupe Achieves 50mpg

For the purpose of reducing emissions and energy consumption, the UK has turned into a somewhat hostile social environment as the government imposes increasingly stringent taxation upon motorist, particularly those with vehicles in the luxury segment.

In response, famous BMW supported tuner, Alpina, has taken the 2.0-liter twin turbo diesel from BMW’s 123d model, tweaked it to produce 10 more horsepower and stuck it in their E92 3-Series Coupe.

As a result, the increased hp and lighter engine means an overall power-to-weight ratio of 146hp per tonne – virtually matching BMW’s own 330d Coupe. The car is capable of 152mph and 0-62mph in 6.9 secs and yet the official fuel consumption and emission figures tell a very different story: 52.3mpg (overall EU) and 143g/km! (manual trans).

This year only 100 units of the ALPINA D3 Bi-Turbo Coupe will be available in the UK.

Wald W204 Mercedes C-Class Black Bisson Edition

In contrast to the recent Wald BMW M5 kit, that was described as “tastefully crafted” and not “too extreme”, Wald has taken the W204 Mercedes C-Class and crafted an aero kit which clearly expresses their bipolar tendencies.

With flagrant usage of vent or louver design in just about every lower body component, Wald has taken their Black Bisson Edition to a level that will either be loved or loathed the world over.

Despite the picnic table rear wing and vented fender panels, the only redeeming aspect is the rear bumper fascia design (excluding side louvers) with its integrated twin tapered oval exhaust tips.

Edo Lamborghini Murcielago LP710-2

Last we heard from Edo Competition’s Lamborghini LP 640, it had just received a 23hp boost to 663hp and clocked a record breaking 345.7 km/h (214.8 mph) run, making it the fastest top speed ever recorded by a Lamborghini at the high-speed test track in Nardo, Italy.

Never content, the quest for more power has brought the Edo team back to the LP 640 with successful results. This time, through new exhaust headers, new high flow catalytic converters, new mufflers, a new exhaust tip, new performance camshafts, modified cylinder heads and new high flow air filters plus reprogrammed engine controls, the company from Ahlen, Germany has added another 47hp for a whopping total of 710hp and 700 Nm (516 ft-lb) . The result is 0 - 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds; 0 – 200 km/h (124 mph) in under 10 seconds.

With an aerodynamically optimized rear wing with an adjustable lip, the Edo team should have no problem breaking their last record as they calculate the vehicle is capable of a top speed greater than 360 km/h (224 mph) .

Mercedes CK65 RS Blanchimont by Carlsson Aigner

We had the opportunity to sample the CL-Class based Carlsson Aigner CK65 RS Eau Rouge late last year, and now Carlsson has gone ahead with their next limited edition luxury car, the S-Class based Carlsson Aigner CK65 RS Blanchimont. Like the Eau Rouge, this CK65 RS is named after the famous Blanchimont turn at the Spa Francorchamps track in Belgium.

With prices starting at 464,100 EUR in Germany and 390,000 EUR for export, the Carlsson Aigner CK65 RS Blanchimont, seeks to fill the gap left by the S-Class and Maybach while maintaining the concept of bespoke manufacturing and maximum performance.

Conceived in cooperation with leather and lifestyle brand Etienne Aigner AG, the CK65 RS Blanchimont is fully equipped with all comfort and safety features Mercedes offers in the S-Class.

However, the interior is where the CK65 RS Blanchimont shows its talent. Available from more than 30 different combinations of Aigner leather, Aigner Alcantara, aluminium and a combination of selected woods, all materials are fitted exclusively by hand in a process that requires individual stages of cooling and setting. The production and installation of the entire interior takes over two weeks.

Besides the fit and finish of the interior trim, the high end entertainment and business package is where the CK65 RS Blanchimont revels. The Carlsson Office Concert Hall Infotainment System with components by Alpine and Focal features Focal’s three-way intercom system, 7-inch monitors behind the headrests, 15-inch monitor integrated into the roof, an assortment of sub-woofers, speakers and amplifiers integrated into the vehicle body plus Alpine’s F#1 Status DVD tuner with 6.1 surround sound.

Another highlight includes a WLAN UMTS router, enabling three laptops to go online, wireless and completely independent of each other. You don’t need a UMTS card – all you need is a WLAN-enabled laptop. So users have their own personal hot spot right inside the car – in fact, they can even use it a short distance away from the CK65 RS Blanchimont.

The Blanchimont with its 6.0-liter V12 bi-turbo engine receives a newly tuned electronic control unit, sports air filters, stainless steel sports exhaust system plus improved intercoolers. The result is 705 hp (10 more than the CK65 RS Eau Rouge) and an electronically limited torque of 1,100 Nm. Top speed of 320 km/h (electronically limited) together with an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds makes “the Carlsson Aigner CK65 RS Blanchimont the most powerful luxury limousine in the world.” declares Markus Schuster, CEO of Carlsson Autotechnik GmbH.

Abt AS3 based on Audi A3 Cabrio

Abt’s off-the-shelf tuning products for the 2.0 TFSI and 1.8 TFSI engines available for the Audi A3 Cabriolet put the new Audi rag top in four stages of upgraded power. The first offering for the 2.0 TFSI add a healthy portion of horsepower from 200hp (147kW) to 240hp (177kW) while the second Power S upgrade brings the rag top on par with the Audi S3 with 270hp (199kW). Most likely to be the more popular engine choice, the 1.8 TFSI engine also gets bumped up from the standard 160hp (118kW) to a very respectable 200hp (147kW), or to 240hp (177kW) with ABT Power S.

In the styling department, there’s not much to be seen yet. Besides the two sets of Abt Sporsline wheels, Abt will surely have something more stylistically presentable in the near future, hopefully, soon.
